Picking up p@@p makes New Yorkers Humble

Every morning on my walk to work I'm an unwilling witness to lots of doggie "private time;" Josh loves to marvel at how dogs inevitably pick the worst places to do their business, like the busiest place on a sidewalk or in the middle of a crosswalk. This morning it dawned on me - thank goodness for NYC's doggie business laws. They keep NYers humble. For a breed (pun intended) that thinks we're more sophisticated, smarter, and more fun than the rest of the country, picking up our animals' business is humbling. Owners are basically screaming, "look at me! I am picking up doo doo with a plastic bag around my hand!" Mayor Bloomberg should say, "you're welcome" instead of "thank you." Just some dog food for thought ...
